Captain Noah

Dear Capt. Noah,
My wife and I are a little light for our Hobie 20 Miracle and have on two occasions actually capsized the boat. Now, I have seen others capsize and they can seemingly get the boat righted very quickly, even to the point of being able to stay in the running of the race. In our case, though, we could not get the darn thing righted even after exhaustive attempts. What do you suggest to make it easier to get it up?
Too Small

Dear Too Small,
The latest rage is Viagra.
Capt. Noah

Dear Capt Noah,
I took Rick White’s Sailing Seminar this year and he said there are four things you must know for each and every start. That seems like a lot to do for every start.
What do you do for starts?
Curious

Dear Curious,
I also have four rules for the start:

  • Pay off the RC to radio you when they are getting ready to start
  • Leave the beer keg early – it never hurts to be prepared
  • Get dressed and have your boat near the beach before the Blue Flag
  • Time the distance to the start line so you will arrive just as the gun goes off.

Capt. Noah

Thought for the Day:
If one synchronized swimmer drowns, do the rest have to drown, too?
