Usually beautiful sailing weather in Miami in December. Whether you want to bring your boat down would depend on how long you plan on being here. If only for a short time and you just want a chance to sail one or two days, there is now a place on Biscayne Bay that rents cats. Website is www.miamicatamarans.com. If you bring your own boat, you could launch at Hobie Beach, but it is not the kind of place where you would want to leave it overnight. If you are a racer, the Hobie Wave Nationals are in Key Largo December 6, 7 and 8; and the Key Largo Steeplechase is Dec. 14 and 15.
