I have not seen any sailing at all. There are a few cruising sailbaots on moorings out in front of our hotel but most days the wind is very light. They are further south than the Keys, south of the trade wind band I think, and it's usually hot, humid and windless, and the smell...

I went to the Bombay Yacth Club and asked about sailing, they said they do have a "junior program" with 420's but I have only seen them out once, in no wind.

I have talked to some of the locals about sailing there, they told me, "Do NOT go in the water..." seems it's full of raw sewage, even the locals who go to the beach never go in the water, and these are the ones who can drink the tap water which we can't, because we don't have the built up antibodies to the stuff that's in it!

Sorry to get this thread so -off topic-. We now return you to your locally scheduled program, of "Racing at Gulfport"!
