So many variations, like the phrase, 'theres more than 1 way to skin a cat'- I have no idea about the history of this phrase, if you know for sure, PM me please, as I use it all the time.

I always put the axle to the cat wheels, across the traler near the front of the 'a' frame part near the front. Then I'd slide the cat wheels back, cradles up, under the bows, and tie it off to the bows at the tang. Easy and out of the way. The others are good ideas also, just thought I'd add.
