Hi Jeremy,

The boat is actually quite curvy although looking like it has hard edges.

The following is some information on what I did with the new boat compared to the old.

In short compared to the standard boat the changes on the new boat are:

Rig and front beam back 300mm
Rear beam back 100mm
Foot shorter by 200mm
Head bigger by 200mm
Forestays back 250mm
Sidestays back 300mm
Centreboards back 150mm
Transom bigger at waterline by 25mm
Transom higher by 12mm
Deck at bow narrower by 30mm
Freeboard in bow lowered by 80mm

Boat to have new rudders and curved centreboards

It has more volume in the water than before but less out of the water and has thus far been faster up wind in nearly every condition.

Downwind has not been any slower and most of the time is slightly faster. Bearing in mind that this is all with old shape foils. We will have the new one on line in about a month. Which will be better than we currently use. This prototype boat is 3.7kg over weight too so when the production boats are coming out at about 1kg under min at 74 then 1kg lead added. They will be better again.

I hope that helps a little…
