The idea of rolling the car out of the garage to start it (picture 4) is something I do all the time with my MGA. With the choke on, it always blasts a cloud of smoke which backs up into the house and my wife complains. So I use the starter motor (key off) to run it out to the sloped driveway, then turn the key and pop the clutch as it rolls downhill. Since I always back into the garage, it looks like a real Batmobile-style blastoff as I hit the street accellerating.
