It lived up to the tradition of a low key good time distance race with a very nice Halloween party thrown in for good measure.

We had a light southeasterly to get us started which built to a moderate double trap beat down the river. Boats finished between 3:30 and 5:00.

The Halloween party at Hiram’s is not to be missed! Holy crap batman!

Sunday was predicted to have a light northerly breeze but fortunately the cold front stalled and we had a light easterly giving us a very tight spin reach and a very pleasant sail home. On Sunday we finished between 2:30 and 3:30. A real easy day which fit nicely considering the activities the night before. Hiram’s never disappoints even when it’s cold and blowing the lips off a dog (as Mr. Hubel says). I’d also like thank Scott and Dior Hubel, without them it’s likely this event would not happen. Warren Green was our PRO for this event and ran a tight ship. Every team got proper finish, even when their participation wasn’t 100% known, thank you Warren.

We had a lot of new faces which was really nice to see and hopefully the new people will keep joining us.

For those that missed it W-T-F?
