Hi Guys,

Great weekend. Sorry we missed you Mike. Were you out on Saturday or Sunday?

I did little sailing on Friday before meeting some friends at the Hilton tiki bar for dinner, drinks and music. Then headed for Peanut Island about 9pm when I got a call from Fast Eddie. He hit a sandbar and could not get loose. By the time I got to him, the tide came up enough to free him. He also had some motor issues we worked through but we made it to Peanut before midnight.

Surprisingly there were only a few mosquitoes and no noseeums. I pitched the tent on the beach and left my sails up. I had a great nights sleep except being repeatedly woken by Eric (Arbo06) needing directions and to be buzzed into the condo about 4am.

Saturday morning, I woke up early and was on the water by 7:30. With very little wind and an outgoing current, I started making my way towards the condo. Before I got too far, the clouds came in and wind picked up. I traveled out, sheeted in and was back at the condo before 8am.

Another buddy of mine (Dr. Scott) and his friend met me there along with Eric and we had gumbo while the rain was passing. When we got back out on the boat, the weather was great with some minor rain which helped to cool us off. We also had some rum/vodka concoction that Dr. Scott created to give you energy.

After we dropped Dr. Scott and his friend off, I got a vmail that Fast Eddie had boat issues and had to be towed back home. He had a tow boat membership so it was not a big issue. We also had a trampoline issue that was getting worse so we headed back to Peanut Island to get the tent and called it a day as well. Before Eric left, we had another bowl of gumbo and enjoyed drinks and the ocean off the balcony.
