http://floridakeys.net/koafiesta/I used to stay here for spring break excursions in college, that was a few years ago now. It was cheap and nice back in the early 90's. May be worth a look....not too far from the race site.
I can remember camping there back in college days, trouble was I felt like I had become part of the food chain (skeeters) and the coons stole everything that was not tied down.
