Dave, did you hear about whether the recovery operation was successful?

Also, when we were still heading up to the "top" mark and the F boats had already gone around and were coming back - I saw JC and Karl coming back at us like a screaming banshee. I don't think I've ever seen a boat go as fast as I did then. It was absolutely stunning how fast that thing was going up on a plane.

We had a GoPro on board but it suffered water intrusion during that run and so the quality of the video suffered but viewing it you can just see how bloody fast the were going. It was truly insane.


Dave appears to have been behind him by slightly more than a minute overall on his C2...I'm sure he was stunningly fast on plane as well!

I think we're getting close to making trade-offs in the big bottom girl boat design. The designs are sneaking up on becoming monohulls with ever increasing stern flatness and girth. McDonald's syndrome.
