When it comes to trimming, anytime. I'm a horrid trimmer. I can do crown like a mofo, but when it comes to 2-1/4" thin butt casing and f'd up walls I start losing my mind. I've yet to do stairs as well. I'm a cabinet maker.  That was a joke, boy, a funny haha.
