Not to hijack the thread, but I've got a penchant for the old C&C Red Alert and Red Alert II. Something about being in charge of the whole process rather than 1st person shooter is a challenge.
I started Age of Empires, but haven't become as addicted. Maybe it's because I'm still in the middle ages...
I totally agree .. the Red alert games are what got me addicted to strategy games in the first place. Command and conquer was amazing. But I absolutley HATED "generals" ... Well Age of Empires 2 isnt as good as Rise of nations <<< you should seriously try it. The best game EVER!
But when Age of Empires 3 comes out it will be unmatched in terms of graphics and gameplay thats why Im looking forward to it. But it doesnt come out till November 05.
