I was under the impression that you either wanted them all down or all up because having them in between creted lots of turbulance in the well. Am I bassackwards here?
Thr c'board system on a P19 was lifted directly from the Tornado, but improved on. The boards are actually crescent shaped viewed from the side so that unlike the T, the board fully fills the well in any position from fully down to fully up. This costs some drag from increased wetted area when fully down compared to the T centerboards, but the advantages are obvious.
