Is there a price estimate in there somewhere?

No number was given but I think the describtion "Seller motivated" is a sort of price indication.

I would guess that the seller just wants a reasonable amount for it, after maybe some negociation. I don't expect him to overcharge. "Seller motivated" always suggests to me that the seller doesn't want to hang on to the boat too long even if that means that waiting could up the price noticeably. In effect quoting a price up front would probably mean scaring buyers away if the price is not just right and that is not smart when you want to move the boat at the best possible price in a relatively short time frame.

These setups always lead to attractive deals in my opinion; you just have to take care not to offend the seller by quoting an insultingly low price. The negociation can be tricky, but if you keep playing it nice then a good deal is always to be had. Pretty much you have the sale when your quote is not unreasonable and when no higher bidding customer presents itself within the set timeframe. Several Taipans have changed hands that way recently. Most because they had committed to buying a Blade.

Give it a shot.

And how much narrower is the 4.9 than the F16 platform?

Taipan 4.9 = 2.34 mtr wide
F16 = 2.50 mtr wide

So difference is 0.16 = about 6 inches.
