Hmmm if you do not like the trailex trailer you probably will hate the alternatives!
I typically see two types of steel based trailers - both types are available in galvanized and painted. Magic tilt is the most commen one - it is a pretty corse construction - bolted together with U bolts and other hardware. I forgot the name of the other model, but it looks a lot alike - just the mast support looks different and it does not have a tilt function (is useless anyway).
If you do not like your trailex trailer I trade you!
