Hey Everyone,

I thought I tied up a fairly good (and small) bowline to the mainsail hook on my P-18. To my dismay, I had to pull the boat over to manually unhook the main as the knot was hitting the top of the mast. Am I missing something? Tieing shotty knots? Any tips or tricks or suggestions are much appreciated.

Also, are there any tricks for hoisting and lowering a jib snorkel so that it doesn't require the main halyard? I would prefer to rig something up where I can pull the snorkel to the top of the jib and sail with it in place. Was thinking about adding a block to the mast tang and connecting another to the bridles with a new "snorkel halyard" in place...

One last item, anyone know where I can buy a sail bag that goes around the mast and boom to cover the sail just like a normal monohull sail/boom cover?

Cheers for any help you can provide!

Have a great day,
Michael
