It will be interesting to see how the different sized crews do.

I was just out sailing on a Formula 18 (in Long Beach) on Sunday and it was blowing about 18. That will be a handful for the crews that are light. This event is held about the same time we start counting on wind conditions of 12 to 16 each day. The morning will start out light and by noon will be about 10 to 12. At around 3PM we could see as much as 20 but more likely will be 16 or so. Use this information as long as we do not have some funny weather at that time. Santa Anas can really mess things up.
