Here's a sweet1998 Calvert on my H17. The sail was made for recreational sailing and not racing.

Sorry they're not very good, but here's one more.

I guess so. It appears that a squaretop for a boomless rig is possible, and there may be a few sources of expertise...

I wonder how much extra money a custom cut sail would be over the mfg. spec. pinhead...?

Squaretop works fine on a boomless. I have one on my Mystere 4.3. If I remember from looking around for a friend, you should pay around $1300 for a good SuperR type squaretop, BUT boy are they worth it. Once you get one, you WON'T go back.

Waterbug, $1100 - $1400 is the range I've spent and been quoted in the past.

Material (cheap to exotic) and with or w/o battens and the Harken traveler will affect your final cost. Off season work can sometimes gain a few dollars of advantage.

I would still think a well designed pinhead would outperform a poorly designed ST.

I am curious if many of the sailmakers use software (if it exists) which can model mast, performance, fabric and wind characteristics into a cut pattern and then test the design in the real world? They would be worth a conversation.

Waterbug, I have a Sqaure top built by ullman sails for my 5.5 uni / Spinnaker rig. I The sail cost approx 1300 new with battens. It is two years old and I currently would part with it for 650.

Chackett, I may have an interest in it for my Uni. You open to a phone call? If so PM my email account.
