The Master Uni FAD Guy is usually rated on a different scale...

Didn't you notice that asterisk on the Portsmouth Ratings page?

Coiffures?

And btw, the H-16 crowd are still the party champions of the Universe!

I have a newbie question, been reading this forum for a couple of years. I purchased a old H-16, but find myself sailing only single-handed. Would it be better to find a good cat design to fit my deeds?
looking at the results, http://juanaspagodas.com/RegattaNews.htm
I see that Nacra builds a F16 & a F17
anyone know the price difference

Rich

There was an error in the results posting. Nacra does not make an F16. The F16s there were all Vectorworks marine blades. Nacra makes the SL16 but it isn't an F16 and I am not sure it is meant to be sailed solo.
Nacra does make the N17R "F17"

Lol! Patrick, you've been tagged with the 1980s syndrome characterized by Hobie sailors' belief that anything without a Flying H is a Nacra. I got labeled as the Nacra Capricorn the other day. Try not to take offense, oh ye F16-nazis.

Day 1 was a distance race. Day 2 was two buoy races. The results are a combination of the two days.

For F16: contact Vectorworks Marine (Blade design, US based), Formula Catamarans Australia (Blade design, Aus based),Stealth Marine (Stealth design, UK based), or Australian High Perf Catamaran (AHPC) (Taipan design or Viper design, Aus based with US importers in FL). They'll get you started.

For F17: contact Performance Catamarans (makers of the NACRA line).

You can email me at tbshannon[at]charter.net if you have other questions.

I can provide some real insight on only the boats I have sailed against that you will never read anywhere on the internet! Only if you are truly interested and be respectful of my time.

Give it a break Bob !

You weren't sailing against the Mac's or even our "master uni-rig sailor" AKA "the F16 world champion".

First take on somebody of your own size before you tell us things about the boats that we will not see anywhere on the net.

I see everyone has Blades, I have sent an email to both Nacra & Blade. I have already received a bunch of info from Nacra.
I guess comments on the second day of racing can be sent to me at rxzxwxaxrxnxerxatgmail com [remove x,s&at]
Bob, your input would be appreciated
thanks

Bob:

How do you rte the Blade as a step up for me from the 17. I am getting good spin training on the 4.3 and have lost 30 lbs. Down around 200 lbs now.

I have wondered whether some people's desire to sail solo is because no one will sail with them. I think that has occurred with some people desiring to sail solo. Some more than others, not wanting to name names.
