I am not too big of a fan of my mast rotation set up- seems like I am always scraping along it when I come in from the trap and then get to the new windward side to realize I pulled it out of the cleat. I can tighten it up again but then it is all on one side which makes it difficult to release on one side. But anyway...
this set up looks a little complicated and certainly seems to crowd the tramp. Interesting though.
Now that I look at it some more though... quite an ingenious set up. takes some slack out of the spin downhaul also?

Remember my boat is optmised for single handing, I don't have to have room up front for a crew; I already have ideas for phase 2 as I think getting to the "blob" will be a PITA when it's howling...

Hi Simon,

You're setup seems indeed a little crowded for 2-up sailing.

Regards,
Gill

It is; I usually sail single handed and so the saving of the rotation coming back in automatically when the kite comes down is good for me.

Anyway Simon, it looks very ingenious and I really wonder if it works flawless.

It does.

Worked well today, but it was blowing real hard and so was not forward to let it off much. Will revise to make it easier to do from further back. Have far too many other things to worry about today as it was howling big time and gusty and shifty too.....
