For pricing, I would suggest contacting a Nacra dealer. I know KS has a F17 jib kit already on site. That sure is a nice looking boat!

11.2 Class rules may vary slightly from one country to another. Do not assume that the rules that apply for the United States will apply in another country. Be certain to familiarize yourself with the class rules of the country in which you are competing. A licensed NACRA F17SL builder in another country may modify the INCA class rules for that country provided that they have been approved by INCA.

11.5 The NACRA F17SL may not conform to International Formula Rules.

Bob:
Is mid pole still a continuous line like my 4.3 was? I see you have an end pole like I had one the 4.3. Would spin be a handle to set for a female? See you soon for drink and dinner on the way.

The boat in the picture is brand new and has the one line continuous halyard setup. It also has a mid pole snuffer. Yep, that lady launches the chute!
See you on the trail, Bob <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Doug I'm looking at all the single handers in the US market. The F17 started at 12.3K*, F16s about 16.5K & up* and Hobie FX One was around 17K. * price will vary depends of options.

What is the cost of the jib kit on the 17? Only fair and reasonable to compare (and quote online) the cost of the F16 with the cost of the 17 WITH the jib kit and extra trap. The price of the F16 includes the jib, sheets, blocks, extra trap, etc I believe.

That is the highest F16 quote I ever saw for the US market. So I would find it far more believable if it is written as "16.5K and down". This 16.5k quote probably includes several upgrades like kevlar hulls as well (and some wishful thinking).
I guess one can read the footnote : " * price will vary depends of options." in two directions.
But I have to admit that if indeed 12.3k is accurate for a fully fitted sloop F17, then that is is an impossible quote for F16's to beat. The F16 sloops have never been quoted below 14k in the US. And indeed 12.3k will be at a level that any F16 builder trying to match that will go bankrupt.
Personally I don't even believe that any modern and fully fitted sloop spinnaker boat can be build for that quote while retaining a profit/agent margin or even recoupering the building/transport costs. That it is not the place to discuss that here.

Any official quote for the F16's includes everything needed for a sloop rigged, 2-up, spinnaker boat in race attire. F16's don't have any upgrades that are required for sailing/racing in a different mode. The quote system is reversed. If you want/need less then you get deductions.

Buying anything from the EU is a little spendy at the moment. The FXone went up in price $1500 from when I first started looking. Some of that will be shipping costs being more, but the bulk is the exchange rate.
So is the Sloop!!!! $14,900 from KO Sailing site <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

You gotta pay to play. R+D ain't cheap, neither is tooling up for a product. Although it is more than I would have guessed.
See I'm habitually stupid, and were I interested in a Blade I would spring for the coloured hulls, kevlar, their own cradles. With a trailer, shipping, and tax's I would have close to $20k into it I bet.
Doug, find yourself a used F17, or a FXone. I payed just over $10k for my boat and its three years old. One sold in Alabama a while back for around $8K a while back, didn't have wings though, but it did have a chute. Not bad considering thats less than half of a new one.
I think if you call around to a few other dealers you might find the price a little more enticing! Check the 1 used and 1 demo at Key Sailing. Good luck!!

Fla job has put things on hold. They claim work has slowed up. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> I will fly to Kansas next week to interview with Cessna in Wichita. Isn't there some sailing at Lake Chaney? Got to go where the money is.
