I just want to warn you all that sometime within the next few days the forum is going to look somewhat different, because the newest version is going to be installed. Several of you urged Rick to do this when we were temporarily besieged by spambots.

I figure this is a good time to make the change, because with the sailing season ending in many parts of the country, it will give you guys something to do, figuring out how to use all the new and different features. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

I sincerely hope we all like the new version and can adjust to it without too many problems.

Good news.

Thank you to you both. This site has been essential to my learning so much about something I love to do.

The forum upgrade is under way. Rick has been working on the settings at a test site. We will try to give you a heads up when it is going to actually be installed where you and I can see it. I'm kind of excited about this. Rick says it won't be a major change. I really like the new interface - and it all seems to have gone very smoothly. However, I know that that is unlikely to have been he case so, well done!

Are there any new access controls on the new version? A fellow F16 catsailor have trouble accessing the forums. He can log in and out and change his preferences, but that is just about it. He can not see/visit the forums.

If I try to access any forum here without logging in, I am blocked?

Ideas anybody?

after a slightly bumpy start...looks like everything is working quite well!

It seemed to be a Permission Problem. Our standard ones we have been using somehow did not get transfered over.

This is Rick and I just register son Dave and it all worked pretty slick.

I couldn't view the posts at the Farrier trimaran group list. Could see the forum but not click on the individual post/thread
