Posts: 2,718 St Petersburg FL | Thats why racers must pay attention to the flags.
The RC does not have to hail anyone, we were being generous in saying who was over early, but a few of the racers started saying general recall when in fact we did not do the blast signals or even hoisted the flag for general recall.

There is no question, comments, concern or arguing. You all fucked up bad. Read up what is the signal for general recall and you will see the light, also look up the flag. No flag or signal was given for general recall. GYC will not give a general recall, unless the RC cannot see who was over early. That my friend is coming straight from Mike Casper. I also find your reply hard to beleive because you were there closest to the RC when that race started. You were to windward of Robbie Daniels, Robbie turned around way before you did. You kept on sailing, I noticed you turned around after a few boats were wondering around the RC.

Posts: 6,049 Sebring, Florida. | Robi, I'm not arguing the point. You are right. You win. I'm an idiot, obviously.
I am only saying -I- didn't hear what was said, and judging by the rest of the fleet, not many others heard it right either. Next time I'll pay more attention.

OK I thought you were implying that the RC gave out the wrong signals. The problem started when a few of the Top Guys said it was a general recall then us on the RC were like w t f? <--censored!

Posts: 3,348 | The day started cold and blustery, so most of us opted to seek shelter here, http://www.omaddys.us/ for some early afternoon cheer and upper level conferences . Only three of our most persistent ventured out onto the water, somewhat after 1:00 p.m. Matt/Zack on the Viper, Patrick on his "A" and Ben on his brand new Geltec(?) A class. They were rewarded with a near perfect day: bright sun, cloudless sky, winds 10-15, no chop, water and air temp. low to mid 60s F. Kudos to all. | | | Re: GYC Club racing

Posts: 1,121 Eastern NC, USA | Tiki - will GYC continue races twice a month through Winter? Any idea what the schedule may be? I may be down in the area in January-ish and could plan it on a weekend when racing is scheduled. Lemme know.

Posts: 6,049 Sebring, Florida. | For Jan. please tell them not to schedule a race for the same weekend as Tradewinds; Jan. 18. Maybe the Saturday 1 week prior to that would be a good time for a tune up race?
Thanks.
And for Feb., please stay away from the 14th, not sure what day of the week that falls on.
