Posts: 3,969 | Motorhome. In most cases there is no way to economically justify a motorhome. It's just another toy. When we added on to the house we ended up living in the RV for ten months. Saved $1500 a month in rent. It finally paid off! We lived in our RV when we had our hardwood floors redone in the old house (un-Godly chemical fumes for about a week). My father-in-law is using it now as he's building a new house. It definitely is difficult to come up with a way for the thing to pay for itself, but it sure does come in handy, not to mention how much more comfortable and convenient it makes regattas!
