Jdub, you'd better be careful. Right now, I'm pretending to be one of those people sitting around waiting to be offended :P

Also next year we need to be very cautious about the exclusion zone. There were a few cats that entered it. That can get us in some big trouble with th coast guard. Thanks to Charles for stepping up and clearing himself with race committee.

Rich:

Sorry you lost your ride for next year. Thanks in advance for driving the trailer though. grin

I think we can spell out the incidents for our brethren regarding next years event. You will now be part of the crew that puts together the info pack for the Formula 18s next year. By hook or by crook.

Dan

I think it may be a husband/wife team next year and someone else may be on the trailer.
San Pablo Deep water channel is off limits. According to some of the mono's we had 4 F-18's go into the channel 2 were identified and one other has withdrawn his finish. I think the other 2 may be Mark and Phil. I'm not sure. Those guys got a good lead on me by then. Thanks to Mike for bringing Chris and thanks to all who made this a great event. I'll be back .

There goes my boner. Another post like that and I'm telling everyone to go to you for warranty issues.

Unless it's a booze cruise, I'm done with monohulls. The most exciting thing that happened for me on a monohull that day was running aground, while everyone else on board peed their pants with excitement when the on-board GPS reported a top speed of 11.2 mph for the day. At the Kick Off Regatta in 30 knot winds I considered it fortunate to get down to that speed.

On the other hand, considering the wind the previous day at the finish line in Stockton at 1:00 PM was 0 mph it was good we had the good wind we did on race day. I'll do the DDR again, but next time on my retro 18SX.

Remember, that no matter how much slower the monos are,

They always have more iced down beer than us smile

Thats why I have a Stiletto... its a catamaran with beer (or rum!) and for parties I can cary more people than the same size mono. Of course it gets slow with a dozen people on board ;-)

Thats funny right there I don't care who you are.
Skipshot you bring out that sx and I'll bring the Tiger again. It'll be nice to have someone to sail with at the back of the pack.

Deal. As long as I'm in the race you'll improve your finish place by one.

Thanks for the plug Rich. It is in the classifieds ($7995 complete with trailer) right here if you want to take a look. I know a shameful plug but...

Skipshot you should look into a Formula 18 if you want to race...I am sure, while watching from the monoslug, you already know that from this last weekend. Actually you were on kind of a fast mono and still yearning for another hull.

We finished that race in 6 hours including two lunch breaks, complete with sandwiches, and numerous water breaks. I could easily to wait until the end for that beer I craved. It was cold and nice, but not too late.

Later,
Dan
