Weather forecast actually looks promising with 8-13 knots of breeze forecast by Sailflow for the entire day into Saturday night. It won't be a recordbreaker but it looks like most boats should finish in 12-14 hours I'd estimate. I've sailed the race twice (once on a 6.0 Express and then on Carbon Copy, SC22) but this year I'm sailing my Sprint 750 in the PHRF trimaran class. Looks like great competition with Don Wigston sailing the Multi 23, Randy Smyth on another Sprint 750, and a few F-28's.

Roll call. None of the tris are registered yet on the RTI website. so how about a roll call to see who is coming.

A modest 17 beachcats pre-registered, with more sure to show up (i.e. Lambert, K. Smith, etc)....

No guarantees on the weather from my end, high pressure system breaking up gave way to a line of showers dipping down from the midwest yesterday afternoon squelching the seabreeze (after a good squall line blew through), it will be what it is.....

Going to be interesting to see if the F16's can hang with the 20's like they did here in a bouy race a couple weeks past.....Whitehurst will crush everyone on his H17 in the end ;o)

Mike B, what ya bringing (N6.0)? Wish the website listed boat types, couple new names on the list.

seems like the wind might turn out like it did last year which made it very difficult to maintain good upwind speed with the chop which is more of an issue on the 16 and 18 footers. Who knows though, things might change. I am very interested to see how the F16s do, of course.

Yep, Patrick. Got a Nacra 20. Sold the 6.0 Express, sad to see her go after all the sails I put on her. I was planning on keeping the 6.0 too, but with dry storage fees, trailer fees, moving my two boats around for hurricane/storm required evac from club, helping deborah with her two boats for same evac, had to downsize.

I won't complain too much if it's upwind all the way to P-cola ;-)

34-37 boats on the line. light air predictions for most of morning. Quite a fleet of boats. about 6 or 7 N20's, a CFR20, a few F18's, a few F16's, a couple of 18HT's (or Javelins) a one or two Nacra 6.0's, a few hobie 16's (one spin rigged), four or five trimarans. Sunny skies ahead. Start at 7am.
