I use Gill Championship, short fingers. The grip and padding are fantastic. I won't use anything else until they stop making them.
I used to buy West Marine gloves to save the $8 or whatever it is, but the stitching would start to come out after only a few days of sailing. I get at least one full season out of the Gill gloves before I start wearing them out (now that I never sail, they last forever)...
I do own a pair of West Marine gloves, and use them specifically for pulling marks. I don't want to ruin my good Gill gloves with anchor mud.
I did buy a pair of full neoprene gloves many years ago at Madcatter. I don't recall the brand, but they are so warm they can make your hands sweat in 40 degree temperatures. Of course, now that I'm old enough to know better, we don't even bother to rig the boat in those conditions.
My wife likes a water skiing glove that she found at Boater's World. I can look up the brand if you're interested.
