That's a thought. But first, how much is gained for the time and trouble?

would not want my tack line rubbing up against the lip of a stainless steel tube.

Boy that sounds like a nice set up Jake!

grin ...yes it does...and I had to build a new pole last summer and I put it back exactly the same way...you don't mess with that kind of pedigree.

Don't worry. Bailes owns an ACat now so no more pole breaking for him.

This setup came about while I was actually planning something a little different. Instead of putting a vertical post in place to take the block & stays loading, I was just going to use the endcap to tie off the block to...an idea I first saw on one of Robbie Daniel's Tornados. He had a Delrin plastic endcap with a simple eyestrap holding the tack block on the inside of the pole end. Then there was an opening above the block to let the tack out. He then had a separate attachment point for the stays.

I kinda like my setup best...all loads run through the post with no chaffing of tack line or stays. The stays just loop over the post end...not around the spin pole so the loads run from the very top edge (not the middle) of the pole to the bow tips...gaining about half the pole's diameter in height...makes for a better down-angle to the bow tips (ya, just a bit, but it all helps).
