Posts: 471 NC | We are in the process of making the final updates to our team website before the countdown going into the 2010 Tybee 500. Take a look at our team bios here:
http://www.velocitysailing.com/?page_id=104 The only team member who has not submitted their bio is samc99us. This is where you can help us. Please help complete Sam's bio and we will publish it on our site. Have fun and keep it clean. We promise Sam's feelings are not easily hurt. | | | Re: Velocity Sailing needs your help!

Posts: 1,884 Detroit, MI | Trey Brown – Greenville, South Carolina (TVS 1 Skipper) As one of the founding members of Team Velocity Sailing, Trey is undoubtedly the catalyst of the whole operation. If it weren’t for his drive and passion for sailing, Team Velocity would not be what it is today. He’s is the undisputed paragon of youthful enthusiasm and spirit – accepting and tackling any challenges before him. Trey has also managed to impress the movers and shakers in the catamaran sailing world through his meteoric rise in regatta standings. His communication and business skills have worked well for him and he has networked with some of the biggest names in international multihull sailing. His experience spans the globe, having competed at high-level events such as Rond-Texel, and the St. Thomas Rolex Regatta. Trey just bought his first home outside of Greenville South Carolina but he is usually on the road travelling for business, working for Advanced Technology Services. Damn, I need my hip boots to wade through all that bullshiat. Nice site, tho . . . | | | Re: Velocity Sailing needs your help!

Posts: 3,655 Portland, Maine | While we're on the topic of our website- I added a bunch of content today - including some audio clips of Alan Friedman's radio station ( http://www.buzzrocks.com) featuring SPECIAL ROCKSTAR GUEST Bailey White talking about Spring Fever and the upcoming Tybee 500. Its short and sweet and will take all of 35 seconds of your time And when you're looking to stream some hard rock music, listen to The Buzz online! The guy that runs the thing is probably one of the coolest catsailors you'll ever meet. | | | Re: Velocity Sailing needs your help!

Posts: 932 Solomon's Island, MD | A little something to help you boys figure me out:
Sam Carter-Raleigh, North Carolina (TVS 4 Skipper). Sam Carter is a junior at NC State University, majoring in Aerospace Engineering. Sam grew up sailing his H14 off Cove Point beach, on the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland. Racing soon got the best of him, and he captained his local high school racing team for 3 years. During his sophomore year at NC State, Sam was captain of the NC State racing team, and with the help of his team, secured berths at dinghy champs both semesters. In addition to his extensive small boat experience, Sam was first mate and navigator aboard Age of Reason, a Bristol 35.5 that won her class two years in a row during the Governor's Cup of Maryland. Catamaran racing soon got under Sam's skin, and with the help of Kirk Spicer, the two bought a N20 and the fun began!

Sam is best known for his bouts with keyboard diarrhea and regurgitating quotes from his hero Trey. Many people want to choke him out when they meet him for the first time, but after getting to know him a few actually lose those feelings. Those few have yet to be found. The fact that he has a good sense of humor has kept him alive for his long illustrious life of 21 years. This may all come to a crashing halt when he does the Tybee and overthinks everything until his brain explodes OR he meets Lee Wicklund, calls him a stupid kiddie and talks down to him, whichever comes first. His latest accomplishment is becoming the new punching bag for multihull forums the world over.He has been asked to be buried at sea and very well may get his wish in the Tybee 500 this year, as Kirk becomes the first sailor to start as crew and finish single handed.

Thanks for the spellcheck though, you truly are one badass dud(spelled correctly). If you want to challenge me to distance racing or a spelling bee, I'm more than happy to take your arrogant butt on.
