The 2010 edition of the WRSC Spring Regatta (April 24-5 in pleasant and scenic Galesville, MD) is open to F16s, N20s and ACats (5o5's too, but not sure anyone in here cares about that).
I care!! But why is Chris Allon trying to run down that poor Laser? Ed
That's his gig,it's what he does.Don't judge. It's better than running down A cats.

I am not a racer, so i could be wrong... but i am pretty sure a Lazer isn't a "F16s, N20s and ACats (5o5's too)". I assume he is just trying to "clear the course"?

I think it's a great pic. You've got a powered up I-20 on the edge of control and a couple lasers just putzing along. Why do people sail mono's again?????

I think staring down 40 optis lined up on the finish line was the scariest sailing moment of my life.
Haha, last year i crewed in the Mini-macho man race. We were sailing down to the clearwater spider buoy (12 mile west of the clearwater pass) and saw about 30 optis racing out to the same area. We ducked behind them but were immediately covered by their power chase boat... bull horns blasting at us "GET OUT OF THE RACE COURSE". we yelled back, "WE ARE IN OUR RACE COURSE" and continued on. They persisted and shouted "YOU ARE NOT IN A RACE"... but we were.. and they didnt beleave us.
After we rounded the bouy and popped out the spin.. 2 minutes later we were completely cut off by a second chase boat (he ran in front of our bows), this one with lights and sirens (aux coast guard) screaming at us with a PA.
He completely cut us off, and we were not within a mile of the optis at this time.
We yelled back "WE ARE IN A RACE".. He didn't believe us, and then moved on to the next catamaran in our race... "GET OUT OF THE RACE COURSE".... again the optis were no wheres near us by this time...
Darn optis!

I'll be there if I can get the bottom sprayed on the 20 by then, if not I'll have to stay home and do that. My wax additive went bad and I've had to order more. It s in the hands of the shippers now.

No... unfortunately something came up at the very last minute and I had to bail. Bob Orr is the man to complement! ... I just have the keys to the web site... Hopefully someone will tap out a few words in the next few days to fill out the details.
I would love to hear how the Predator went... among many questions..... The christening by the Arrends family was festive!

A little bit of a bust :-( LONG sail out Saturday, a very slow one lap, a slow 2 lap where that yellow Marstrom just climbed away from everyone, and then finally some wind for two nice races where everyone got some trap time, and a few people went wild. Only a little drizzle; no big rain. Back to the club by 5, and a great pasta dinner. Sunday a complete bust; long drift out, long drift around the RC boat, time expired, tow back home. Of course, the breeze came up GREAT halfway up the river :-( I found out that 1" of rudder toe-out is slow on an A-Cat...and therefore was too far back to report on any of the up-front action.
