The first event in that area with a fleet of F16's racing.
The F18, N20, N17 and F16's fleets will be racing there on two seperated course. Here the N20, N17 and F16 classes will share a course (F18's having one for themselves)
Participation is looking good with 41 F18's already entered. The other course is expecting at least 7 F16's, 7 N20's and 2 N17's. With some Florida F16 sailors making the long trip North. Interestingly enough I'm missing a certain Canadian Blade F16 sailor in that listing. He did travel down to Florida one time (Gulfport event) so this event should be round-around-the-block for him.
Wonder if Jill or Matt will be bring any lease boats up if there is interest ;-) I heard an old friend of mine from way back NACRA 5.2 days is very interested in a Viper and he lives in Racine.

I think someone just pushed my button. Interesting perception of round-the-block. I just checked and from Gulfport FL it is 2033 km to racine and from my lake it is 2700 km. The trip to Florida for me was probably a once in a lifetime thing as I combined it with the boat purchase.
I recognize that I dearly need to exposure to other spin-cat sailors. But finding out how truly slow I am is a schooling that I don't want to spend days trailering a boat to. Call me non-hard-core. I just spent 3 days sailing against I14's and that is good enough for me.
Life is good, but the weather is the suxor. Didn't race two weekends ago because it was snowing. This past weekend was just cold and wet. I'm faster than the I14's but handicap racing is worse than the weather. I think that I'm giving them about 18 minutes on the hour. At least its good to have someone nearby as I round the weather mark, as I do need to be pushed a bit. I think that before I take on something like Racine I would have to make the investment in coaching as was discussed a couple of weeks ago. I see that Red Gear Racing is doing a clinic in Canada in July. Now that is something that I should try to find a ride at.
