Opening ceremony and the crowds on the beach were UNREAL! There were thousands of people there for the opening and all of his was on full production TV broadcast live. Pretty wild. They really showed interest in the boats with lots of the crowd following down to the site and watching sailors rig. I have a bunch more images and some video on the blog.

Rod Waterhouse took another 1st today. William Edwards also took a first in this morning's races. They are on the water again after lunch for, an intended, 3 more back-to-back.

Sunny, 91 degrees and about 10 kts or a bit more.

Legend tells that Worst News is Bad news` brother, I seem to remember being told stories about Bad News & Worst News Hughes.. never been to a Hobie Worlds, but some who have will know. If I`m wrong about this, apologies. But the stories go back to the early 90`s, so they`ve been around a while.
Good to see William & Lucinda are doing ok, though they could go one place better.

Final day of Women and youth event. We got two races off this morning, but during lunch a front has come over and stopped the action. 12 races in the can, so we have a solid series. Seems the leaders of each are well ahead, so no racing required to determine a winner but, we are on hold for a few hours.
