It was a great regatta, now I understand the appeal. We do need to work on the Maryland contingent however.
Did anyone else miss the teeny little I-85 sign and wander around North Georgia for a bit?

Posts: 439 Memphis, TN | The directions weren't the best, of course we used a Garmin and it was still confusing.

Posts: 186 Chattanooga, TN | we have been there a lot and still missed a turn sunday. Not as bad as when we left last year and following the GPS in the RV with the double stack behind ended up down a narrow one lane dirt road for a few miles. Always an adventure.

Posts: 548 MERRITTISLAND, FL | Hey, I know that stretch of road! Yikes! An RV and a double stack... freaking GPS. We pulled at least 4 U turns heading down the sticks of GA with Terry's short cut - monster RV and Beverly Hillbilly double stack included. Just add it to the list of stories from the weekend. | | | Re: Spring Fever Regatta!!! Lets have a fleet this year

Posts: 5,525 | I stayed over Sunday night and had the place mostly to myself. The stars were very bright, not much light pollution. Lots of birds but no squirrels or anything else with fur. Fortunately there was no banjo music in the distance...
Mr. Ernie stopped by to check on me, and give me the combination to the gate so I could let myself out Monday morning. In fact he gave me two combinations but neither was correct. However, a friendly soul wandered by who had yet another combination that did work. Still, I wandered around for an hour, back tracking for twenty miles before seeing familiar surroundings. I-85 never looked so good!
I'm already making plans for next year!
[Planning note: check combination to gate.]
