My fiancé's luck is unbelieveable. Not only does she happen to be in town for the event, but her uncle is flying one of the camera helicopters and has a seat on it to watch the race from

Going through post-race review now. Spithill and Artemis were OCS, Bundy shot out and let from the first mark to the finish. Spithill managed to foul their chute somewhere during the race (did not want to furl/unfurl), finished 5th.

Bundy was giving an impressive sailing lesson there, especially considering the talent in that fleet...

watching on YouTube - some of the spectator comments are funny...

They are saying they did a penalty, W/L before start. But, for the first few minutes the commentators had no clue. I thought they were bragging about all the access to the technonology that they have in the booth (feeds from RO, umps, etc.)?

Hobie was represented yesterday! We had a group from the factory, Ron and Deb Lane plus Jeff and Hobie Jr. aboard.

Fun to have the boys sailing past our boat for a big hello. A lot of these guys have done Hobie and F18 racing over the years.

We had an 80 foot motor yacht positioned right near the start line. Was a line of 3 large ones and then the huge (150'?) sailboat right there. Great day! Cats ripping it up and choppers buzzing all around. We had a choppy video feed, but who needs video when you are this close? I do wish we had better video though. They must have caught some good action! The salon had huge windows and a big screen TV. Viewing from on deck was spectacular!
