I just returned from putting the blankets on the horses in the barn, supposed to be down to 36 in Sebring tonight, high of 55 tomorrow, but warming until that next front on Friday.

It's an El Nino year, lots more wind, rain and tornados coming no doubt. Last time El Nino hit was 1997-98, when we had about 2 feet of rain and severe weather all winter, record amounts of tornados with 45 deaths, so be careful out there!

We're supposed to get a Nor'easter this weekend. The weathermen are going bananas (actually, the forecasters are playing it cool and hedging their bets, as it's four days out, but the rest of the TV news folks are ramping up the chaos).

For now, it looks like the Mid-Atlantic states will get more snow than us. Time will tell...

I think I'm about 15 years too young to enjoy myself in this town :-D. This place is pretty much closed at 11pm.

Drive up to Ybor City, 7th Ave.

That's pretty much all of Florida, save Miami, Tampa and the college towns.

The livin' is easy... which is why the place is overrun by snowbirds expecting favors or intent on telling us how they do things "up north".

But serenity is a mere 20 minute sail in pretty much any direction.
