Posts: 3,293 Long Beach, California | still like 8. The add'l cost on a 4" logo for the hulls will be very minor. The swoosh thing on 4 reminds me a bit of memorial day on the beach... not that there's anything wrong with that! plus, what we pick will wind up on a web site somewhere.
vote on it?

Posts: 12,310 South Carolina | What would #8 look like with a black "14"? I like them all!- it won't be too much trouble to make it that way. For sake of comparison, I listed them all here: (I'm STILL leaning to #4) #3: #4: #5: #6: #8:

Posts: 3,355 Key Largo, FL and Put-in-Bay, ... | Jake, Doesn't multicolors cost more. And when the sun hits the sail no one can see colors anyway. It would seem to me that it would be easier and more economical to have all black, all blue, or whatever, and stamp them out. Rick | | | Re: more logos

Posts: 5,558 Key Largo, FL & Put-in-Bay, OH... | Jake, I'm with you. I like #4, only because the parts are separate and they can all be made black if necessary. As I mentioned to Tracie, if you put a color on a colored sail, the colored part may just disappear into the colored background. Black is the only thing that would totally stand out no matter what color the sail is. #4 could be done either way, color or black. | | | On the sail or on the hull?

Posts: 3,293 Long Beach, California | Don't the NAF-18s and the F-20s in Europe just have a small logo on the hulls? Do we need something on the sail?
My vote's a small #8 on the hull - leave the sail for the manufacturer or sail loft or sponsors if you have one...

The rules only require a small identifying logo near the clew of the mainsail and a measurement sticker near the beam on the inside of the hull. Most builder don't put F18 or F20 logo's on hulls or sails and often only use their own brand logo in the high part of the sail.
The two stickers are supplied with a valid measurement form.

Posts: 3,293 Long Beach, California | Hey Tracie - Am I crazy? I swear I remember the NAF-18 sticker being on everyone's stern, not on the sail...

Posts: 744 | Maybe we can affix a 4x6" sticker to the sails at 24" up from the clew and 18" in from the leech? Some of our hulls are pretty small in the stern. I'm going to put a full logo on the sail up high for all to see!

Posts: 744 | With Tracie's 3 logos, I like the one with the purple swoosh! Jake, what would be the best size for that one around the 4x6 size. And of course, a much larger one for a big sail logo? Bob
