I don't know if you have anything to do with it but I think it's awesome to see such a huge ad in this month's Sailing World - advertising like this will be great for the Hobie and our sport alike! Check it out - page 6.

Now if we could just get a similar picture of Jake on his old Nacra 5.2 to motivate all those Nacra 5.2 folks that have been writing lately, we'd have it made for the old boats too!

Not my doing, we have a marketing manager these days. This is one of the strange things about advertising. Like the old saying, you have to have money to make money. You cannot advertise heavily when things are not selling (although some would say that is when you have too... we had a LONG lull period in sales and it was just not possible for a long time) Well... things are going extremely well for Hobie Cat and we have a promotions budjet once again!

I know I'm not as cute as Jake, however I could supply a picture of his old boat with me on it! On the bright side, the boat is a little sexier now with new carbo blocks all the way around and an I-17 spin set up....

I hope you don't mind, but I invited the girls from the Nacra ad out for a ride on your boat. I told them both that they had to lose the boyfriends and the Coke girl PROMISES not to spill that coke on your deck!

You gotta watch what you wish for. A sexy babe in a 20 year old Nacra ad might not appear the same today. For instance, see the attached photo. Tough crew...

Wide-angle lens. Makes the interior of a boat look more spacious, so probably does the same thing to people.
