Posts: 169 Upstate, South Carolina | So it looks like Im going to go with the name "Honu".
I even designed the logo (see attachment)
The 3 is there because I graduated in 03 so the "O" is the letter O for the word "honu" and the number "0" for "03" That looks great. Good job. | | | Re: Boudicca

Posts: 2,074 Northfield,NH USA | Our Nacra 5.5SL is "Wicked Wet" which is also the name of our LLC. We are in the Indoor Waterpark Business. Only problem is I'm not crazy about having my wife drive around with the name on the car door. Too many nuts out there.....

What does "HONU" look like in Arabic script? I'm considering breaking with my tradition and naming my boat the masculine form of "Honu", and using Arabic script.
THAT SHOULD TURN SOME HEADS!! Maybe I'll get may own personal file at "Homeland Security"!!!

Posts: 2,074 Northfield,NH USA | This one is my all-time favorite cat name but I'm sorry I can't remember the owners name to give him credit but I did save the picture............ (I can't upload the picture now because it is a .bmp extension and I'm not able to figure out how to change that.) The boats name is Wind Bitch. Has a little silhouette of the truck mudflap girl resting backwards on her hands with her hair flying.... Looks so cool!

First boat was "Flippen Fearless", 2nd "Flippen Fearless 2"...then big crash and the name was retired. We're now on "Plays With Matches".

I checked with my friend and she says there is no masculine form of Honu because the males and females are both called Honu. THAT SHOULD TURN SOME HEADS!! Maybe I'll get may own personal file at "Homeland Security"!!!

Posts: 5,590 Naples, FL | I've secured the name "wind weapon" for my next N20. Working on the logo. However, I've always wanted to put this across my spinnaker: I'm going to take a wild guess that some local authorities may take issue with it, though!

Posts: 306 St. Louis, MO | While sailing in Marblehead, MA I say a trimaran called "Pollo del Mar" - Chicken of the sea. I have always liked that one. My first boat was called "Redline" because I was in the how hard can I push it stage when I owned it (it was an H16). Lots of learning expereinces on that one BTW.

I saw a semi being driven by a rather attractive blonde lady one time. The interesting part was that all the mud flaps had a chrome silhouette of a fat guy drinking a beer. US Sail Level 2 Instructor US Sail Level 3 Coach | | | Re: Boudicca

THAT SHOULD TURN SOME HEADS!! Maybe I'll get may own personal file at "Homeland Security"!!! If you simply call it "Mr. Honu", you'll get some form of masculinity, or perhaps only gender confusion would result... | | | Re: Naming your cat

Posts: 1,459 Annapolis,MD | My old '79 Hobie-18 was the "Geriatric Blue Hobie", or "GBH". That's because it was a geriatric blue Hobie. People usually added something else to the name when they saw us sneaking up on them. Lots of miles and success with that boat, we liked to mention that our boat was old enough to drink.
My Hobie-20 was "WikiWiki", which is Hawaiian for "Fast". Whimsical and descriptive.
My 6.0 is "Katzenjammer", orginal inspiration from the "Katzenjammer Kids" comic from a "few" years ago about two mischievous kids ("adventures of Hans and Fritz, twins and fellow warriors in the battle against any form of authority"). Each hull can be a mischievous kid... It's German, meaning essentially the wailing of cats. I like that, but also that for me the name evokes cats and windjammers if pronounced in the usual butchering of foreign languages. I waited for the right boat for this name, subsequent boats of merit will be Katzenjammer II and so on.
The F-27 is "Tri-Pawed" because to me it is like a three hulled (legs) catamaran. Three-legged cat became Tri-Pawed in the obvious pun on tripod for a trimaran. This was my wife's contribution. Eventually a logo of a Pirate Terrier with a peg leg will be designed. | | |
