I just wanted to send a big thank you to Nigel and Tammy, Mr Ernie and all the other volenteers at SF. Nigel and Tammy were gracious host to use their home and pool area for some great parties each night. SailMax sponsored the Margarita tent which was especially good. The weather and wind was perfect all 3 days. Fri and Sat started at 10 and built to around 20 each day. Sunday was also 10-15. All was good except for the 2nd race on Friday when I buried the hulls making the transition rounding at A mark, which sent Loyd flying. Unfortunately for my ego, Water Cooper captured the pitchpole with a series of photos. We had to relive it each night as it showed at Nigels, but it did provide entertainment. Since I'm new to the F18, I'll chalk it up to learning the boat's limits.

Yea, I should have bought them before they made it public. Mr Ernie said he would post them as soon as Walter sent them to him. It may be a while.

Thank You Jake for capturing some pictures of us with the pointy end up.

Wouter is far left, then Tom, then some guy trying to snake Tom's wife, then Tom's Wife Suzy...so who's the snake?

Mary, over there the men are all tall, the women are all good looking and all the children are above average!

That's not Sue - it's Tom's niece, Amy O'Connor - who was single at the time. She was crewing for John Bauldry on an H-20.

You're not such a snake after all, Bob.

Appologies to Suzi, it was many, many beers ago. So, Bob was trying to snake another skipper's crew?? That's worse than the wife! Still a Snake!

That's Tom? I almost mistook him for a man with that facial hair!
Sorry Tom, maybe that was a low blow but I had to get you back for the floral board shorts comment.
See ya at Madcatter, too bad your not racing the Tiger.

No...it was a bit painfull to miss this regatta so close to home but I just had too much going on. Got a little behind on the Tybee boat, taxes, and the F18 needed a minor repair. A last minute business trip to California for the beginning of the previous week sealed my fate.

Man, it really sucks when work and taxes get in the way of sailing.

You gotta have your priorities straight.

Work is one thing, but Form 4868 could have taken care of the other - at least postponed it for 6 months.
