Posts: 1,226 Atlanta | I think I would be afraid to sail it...no offense, but is it as delicate as it looks? Does it look delicate? I think everythings pretty solid. I put one hand on the travelor track and the other on the beam and pulled up while pressing down and didnt hear any cracking noises and nothing flexed. I used lots of carbon in areas that needed it. It feels solid on the water. Time will tell..... | | | Re: Very close to Launch

Posts: 3,348 | if I had your boat sand would not touch it and it would get a bath after each splash <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> You really do need a F16. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Posts: 1,226 Atlanta | The interesting thing is that you put that all together without an instruction manual. One of the guys in the Bristol Acat fleet was very helpful and generous with answering my questions, almost daily at the end. Plus I got some of the rigging measurements from Steve Clark, who has the same boat, plus Ben Hall advised me on the spreader placement, sweep, etc. So, I had a lot of help. | | | Re: Very close to Launch

Posts: 1,226 Atlanta | How about some info on it. What are the dimensions of the boat. What materials is it built from? Berny, Check out my post a couple pages back, its got more info. Its an Acat, so the dimensions are within the specs for an Acat. http://www.usaca.info/ - then click "rules" Its carbon/corecell foam and epoxy. See this link for pics of hull prior to mine. http://www.intcanoe.us/component/option,com_zoom/Itemid,79/catid,13/PageNo,1/ | | | Re: Very close to Launch
