Oh yeah, I'm not a redneck, I'm an artist.
You should have made full size half models out of them.

Hahahahahaha, hey Trey, remember that time I got up on that hobie 16 and fell straight through the tramp. Where is the picture of that anyways?!?!

Love the carnage wish I had seen it first hand. Also, I can definately contest that I could spit on these hulls and hear that crunchy sound. There was no saving these old softies. Trust me capitain cat salvage and friends, you didn't want these hulls.

I've heard about this Alan that you speak of. Maybe sometime he will get on a sailboat or go to a regatta again and we will find out if he can still sail.

Never seen a Hobie I didn't want to crush. That's almost a blessing.

Trey, have you seen the bar they make from those hulls? I think Sandy Hook has one, pretty cool, use the flat side, its rounded(ye ol' banana shape) and seems to be big enough for a slew of rednecks and thier PBR's. You could probably sell them for that purpose w/o litigation issues...
BTW The guy with the ornge 16 wants to sell now, call me if you still want it.

The men were amazed, and said, "What kind of a man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?" Matthew 8:27

there is no art in cutting up boats

To continue the art project, after spending this winter in the Caribbean, DANGEROUS WHEN WET will be cut into two and exhibited half in an art gallery in New York with the other half a touring exhibit, starting at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich.

No you Tube here. Probably some arial video footage coming soon to Adventureonline.TV. "Artist at Work" taken with RC airplane by unknown pilot...Hard for this Boston boy to accept, but just found out I'm descended from rednecks! "Redneck": name given Scot's Irish during the time of the American revolution for the red scarves worn around their necks. I may have to buy me a truck...

On another note, Tad and I are having a "comptip extraction party" later this week. Maybe we'll get Alan to film it, or are you pansies against destruction of masts too? Let me guess, half of you are PETA members?

I haven't done one before, but Tad has. It comprised of Tad's Isuzu Trooper, a hitch, a big pine tree (the same tree the hobies get crushed on), and some good line. Try to picture it....

Because the lower section of the mast (below the spreaders) is damaged. I'm removing the comptip to put on another mast This is for an 18sx, so the lower portion is longer than a standard 18 mast. I have a solid aluminum 18 mast that I can cut down to add the comptip to which will still allow me to run the 18sx sail. The 18sx is my beach boat (of course it has an F18 spinnaker).

Because usually they are busted and the extrusion is still good. Therefore, remove busted comptip and put in good one.... yachtzee!
