Posts: 829 Charleston, SC | If it has to be freight, go with Old Dominion Freight. Be sure to tell them that you'll package the item yourself, and it will be shipped "terminal-to-terminal." This is very important, as it will (in most cases) entitle you to a 40% cut in price. You'll pack the item, drop it off at one of their freight docks, and pick it up at the destination dock. I've shipped 26 ft masts half-way across the country for less than $175. You'll have no trouble with a 12' stick. DHL is probably where I'd check first though. UPS and FedEx both have length restrictions, whereas DHL is way cooler and can handle the long stuff. Good luck, and if you have any other questions, shoot me an email or call me...
