The pic of the tornado is Mitchy's old boat which is now owned by Caroline and Sebbe. We chrtered it for the Europeans this year.

The red and white line running aroind the mast and back to the rotator arm is for downwind in light and bumpy stuff when you want to hold the mast out. We don't use it anymore as we don't let the rotation go further around for downwind than we do for upwind so we only use rotation adjustment for upwind.

That is probably the direct result of going for the carbon mast right ? It holds up better under spi loads and as such you don't need to overrotate the mast anymore.

Yep, the carbon stick is much stiffer so it can stay at the correct (ie upwind) rotation angle.
