Posts: 6,049 Sebring, Florida. | I don't know what it was like yesterday, I had to take a kid to a horse show in Tampa all day. Today I have a guy on a big Kabota out on my beach ripping up the trees on either side and grading it, making more room for more cats! Then I'm going to spend about $30,000 having a new sprinkler system and sod put in, but then you won't be able to drive across the yard to the beach any more!
You can tent in my back yard now, just watch for ants!
"Hey Ty, you've got a pool, right?"
"A pool and a pond, pond be good for you..."
For a free Corona, name that movie. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

You will have to come to Florida to collect the Corona but the good news is, the water isn't frozen so you can sail! Now where's my tuuk?

Posts: 1,246 Orlando, FL | I dunno Tim...
Titusville was really nice the last four days. Sailed Friday with Ed (Blade 721) solo and yesterday he sailed with his wife.
I went out again today ... the wind has been really nice starting at 10 AM (10-12 knots -- gusts to 15). No wet suit .. just shorts and a rash guard shirt.....SWEET!

Posts: 371 Michigan, USA | Always looking for others w/in 7 hour drive. There is a fun regatta just north of Columbus, Ohio the first weekend of May put on by the Ohio Catamaran Racing Association (Alum Creek). I sailed it last year and we got 8 races on Saturday and 3 on Sunday! I don't know how long to get to Columbus, but it might be less than 7 hours. Last year the fleets were F17 (7 or 8 boats), M4.3 (7 or 8 boats), and open (a variety of Hobie 16s and 18s, 1 or 2-up). There were 2 starts split by D-PN. The F17s started with the N20 and I think everyone else was in the first start. The races were short but provided an ideal setting for the 1st regatta of the year...lots of starts and very little waiting around. If you want to practice and get tuned up for the season, this could be the ticket. I highly recommend this regatta for its timing and the great fun!
