I started looking at all these suggestions and though we have not had much problem with the spinnaker halyard getting wrapped behind the spreader, knock on wood, we have had the crews trapeze wire stuck there. In heavy winds I rotate the mast forward more. As a solution I ran a 1/8 inch bungee from one shroud to the other, in front of the mast and behind the spinnaker halyard. I just put it on yesterday and have not used it yet but simulation on the beach looks like it will be just right for what we are looking for. Thank you all for the suggestions.
