What can I say Ireland didn't play badly considering they had sixteen men on their side.

I suppose that the Ref was a bit easy.
But the scoring was all Ireland's They did run in 3 tries and give away 3 penalties <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

You're right they were the better team and I hope they go on to win the Championships.

Thanks Mark. I think that Ireland were lucky - Wales took the initiative and fought very hard.

Back to business:

Did you see the results of the Weston Warm Up at the weekend ?

RESULTS
1st Hugh Styles,Luke Butler 11pts NACRA INFUSION
2nd Grant Piggott,Greg Windle 11pts TORNADO
3rd James Power,Gillian Power 14 pts CAPRICORN
4th Stuart Gummer,Ellen Forshaw 14pts CAPRICORN
5th Adam Piggott,Ryan Crawford 17 pts TORNADO
6th Chris Sproat,Georgina Burke 18 pts SPITFIRE

Apart from first place, they were all Spitfire sailors or ex Spitfire sailors.
The Spitfire in 6th place dominated the Spitfire circuit in 2006. If they had all sailed Spitfires, the results would have been similar. Maybe the numbers are not too far off.
These are sailors who score highly at events no matter what cat they sail.

agree, they are hard to beat!
We dont sail too many handicap events but there is no doubt that the F18s were noticeably quicker last year than previous years.
Spitfire may get knocked on handicap this year but im still happy with it <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />

I predict the following;
Tornado 0.94
F20 0.98
F18 1.01
A Class 1.00 (Should be 1.02)
F16 1.02 ( Both single or Two up)

Well, all the empirical evidence says that A is slower than F18 - best example is Auz - highest density of top class A sailors and pretty good F18 sailors and still the F18 comes out faster than the A on their equiv to our (UK) PY system. Ditto USA. So I would like to see that, with the F16 being about the same as the A.

You're right there Sailwave, but somehow I think things are going to change less than I first imagined. I wouldn't be suprised if the total difference between new and old ratings is less than 20 seconds in 100 minutes.
