The position of the clew block attachment determines the sail shape, as noted above. Scoot to leeward when sailing up-wind and peer up at the slot between the main and jib. Moving the attachment lower loosens the leech and opens the slot higher up / Moving it higher pulls down more on the leech and closes the slot. Adjust to get a nearly parallel shape between the main and jib.
