As a former CRAM sailor The F17 boys in MI are very good with several National Champions now sailing the boat. Who ever wins this one is truly a champion. (My money is on Struble, sorry Bob). If I could afford a F17 or F16 I would get the F17 because that is what they race up here. The F16 looks like a truly great all around boat though.

In the near future I'll be sailing the H-18 until the girls get through college. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />

We do need to start traveling more to show up at events so people can form their own opinions of blades vs all other boats. I intend to race some up in Michigan (but probably not until next year). Unfortunately I don't think I will be able to do the Blade much justice against the N17s there.
It is fun to shoot the S on the forum but in the end it is all chatter until there is more boat on boat action <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

So you sold the Jav and bought a blade?

Chris.

Yep, partnership wasn't quite working out very well so I moved on. A little further from the "Dead Boat Society."

Got to see Blade up close and personal in our Wayward Winds regatta and now I want one BAD!!! Looked very fast on the water. I am going to sell Hobie 17 and get one when I can. Also hope to be in Fla in 2 years are less. I think you sailed my little boat at Great Bay Race?

Doug

The Midwest guys have been working real hard at putting together a true Championship event for this years F-17 NA's. Four days of racing on the Saginaw Bay, where I grew up sailing, great conditions. You will have a good time, come on out. See you there.

Matt

How consistent is the wind in that area over the summer? I used to sail a lot in Holland, Mi but I wasn't necessarily paying attention <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />
