What has been your experience chartering your boat out? What did you require of the person chartering your boat? Insurance? Payment? Handshakes or written agreements? What else?

NEVER, NEVER. NEVER DO IT. NO ONE WILL TAKE CARE OF YOUR BOAT LIKE YOU WILL.

I can only imagine you would do this for money. So usual checks about the attitude and experience of those renting. Where and what use they put it to, insurances and the rate of return. Full check of boat after the fact and replacement or repair of any probs.
If you don't get a really good whack why do it?

I am not anal about my house, Z4, audi, forrester, or anything else for that matter. However, I am very anal about my boat. This is why a partnership didn't work out and I can't see me chartering to someone really. This is, of course, open to debate given $ and who it was.
