Posts: 1,203 uk | The bolts underneath are just to stop the spanner from drooping. assuming that you have a carbon mast, fill the holes with epoxy filler [colloidal silica] and redrill. Actually by saying redrill, that would mean undoing the bolts - then they drop into the mast. just fill around the spanner bolts [tape up the threads to keep them clean].

I've also heard of this problem. You might check with your dealer to see if they have a kit to fix. Otherwise your plan to put some stainless on the mast is a good one.

Posts: 1,304 Gulf Coast relocated from Cali... | I had the same problem with mine. The bolts are attached to a plate on each side to spread the load. It's really a crappy design. The plate from Performance Cat for fixing it is just a bandaid. The whole design should never be used on a carbon mast in the first place without a compression sleeve. I re-located the rotator arm to the base like the F18's and Tornados and had a grommet installed on the trampoline and have never been happier. If you do this, put some 5200 around the bolts and re-tighten them so your mast will stay sealed. Good luck. Lee
